At Wrights Anglers Rest, we believe in celebrating love sustainably and we incorporate eco-conscious choices into the overall experience of your special day. It ranges from embracing seasonal produce to sourcing from local suppliers, using solar energy, stylish vintage and upcycled decorations and to adorning our venue delicate dried flowers. Not to mention banning of plastic straws and sachets a few years ago!
Our passionate team of chefs at Wrights Anglers Rest create delicious menus using the freshest ingredients that each season has to offer. We are proud to support local, Irish farmers and artisan suppliers.
At the Anglers we love a challenge to repurpose anything back to its quirky self! When it comes to decorations and theming, we go above and beyond to create a timeless elegance using vintage and Up-cycled items.
Our commitment to sustainability extends to our floral arrangements, where along with seasonal fresh flowers we also incorporate delicate dried flowers that retain their beauty long after the last dance.
Now we know it’s not very glamorous and something one would associate with a wedding, but in 2023 we installed solar panels, something that one would also not expect to see on such an old and historic building! We are proud that we now run 15% of the business through solar, again reducing our carbon footprint and working more sustainably in our environment and local community.
